Oh the places I’ve been…
It has been an extremely event-filled weekend for Autism Fitness. After presenting at the NY State CEC Convention on Friday I flew back to NY proper for a weekend of fantastic workshops. This morning I was with the NY Metro chapter of the National Autism Association and a great group of parents and athletes. We had, for a great change, beautiful blue-sky weather for our introduction to Autism Fitness class. I will certainly be posting some pics from the event very soon. I want to thank Kim and Dara for setting up the event and getting a great spot in the park.
I crossed the 59th Street Bridge from Manhattan over to Centereach Long Island for the Bais Ezra Fitness Day with volunteers from the NY Marathon. 20 kids, about a dozen Sandbells, 1 fire hose, and two big Dynamax balls. Oh, and about half a million different animal movements. An exciting afternoon of movement and fun, Autism Fitness style.
For those of you on Long Island, I will be providing a free parent workshop on fitness strategies for the special needs home on Saturday, November 14th at Lululemon in Manhasset. More fun events to come.
